You’re not going to have a more unique dining experience than the one at The Crab Shack – located on Tybee Island. Voted the best seafood restaurant in town for over a decade, the quirky spot lives up to the hype. Foodwise, it can’t be beat. The “shack specialty” is piled so darn high that you wonder if you could possibly make a dent in it. You do. Seriously, I ate almost the whole thing and it features stacks of crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, corn, and sausage. The BBQ chicken was also delicious if you’re not into seafood that much. But, I ask if you aren’t into seafood – why go at all? This is a seafood lover’s dream! And, it’s also kid friendly. While the ambiance is more catered toward the beer crowd (water-spewing fans greet you in a bar-esque atmosphere outside), but there are also gators in a pit where kids can feed them. Man, I wish they had this kind of place when I was a kid. In any event, it’s hard to explain what the restaurant is so here’s a link to its website: http://thecrabshack.com. Check it out for a tasty good time.
