Stache Off at Music Conservatory of Westchester 11.14.09 – Gary Chattman performs an original song for the event and book “Sweet Stache” published by Adams Media.
She’s a comic, writer, radio talk show, and as far as I know, the only person to interview anyone in a bathtub (well, her bathtub anyway). She’s Sara Benincasa, and she’s in a word: frickin’ amazing. OK, that’s two words. The comedienne arguably isn’t a household name just yet but she will be – trust me, bub. Thus far, you’ve seen her as a citizen journalist for the 2008 MTV Choose or Lose Street Team, Huffington Post’s humor site 23/6, and Nerve.com to name a few (the aforementioned “Tub Talk with Sara B.” aired there).

Stay tuned for our full interview with Sara, who is hosting Westchester’s First ‘Stache Off in White Plains, N.Y. on Nov. 14. For more deets, email me.
Westchester County’s First Annual ’Stache-Off, originally slated for September 12 at the Music Conservatory of Westchester, will now take place Saturday, November 14 from 7-10PM. Open to all mustaches of Westchester, the ’Stache-Off features local men competing for “best in ‘stache” prizes from Movember.com, TheCheapPop.com, Equinox Fitness of Mamaroneck, Sam Ash and many more to be named.
The event is presented by Jon Chattman, co-author of the recently released humor book SWEET ’STACHE: 50 Badass Mustaches and the Faces Who Sport Them and founder of the pop culture website thecheappop.com. A SWEET ’STACHE book signing and performances from some of the Conservatory’s ensembles and faculty (Nakia Verner and Barbara Podgurski are among the talent lined up thus far) will precede the countywide mustache contest.
