Las Vegas trip wouldn’t have been complete without a stand-up comedian sighting at the Planet Hollywood hotel pool.
Sweet Stache co-author “NST” Jon Chattman walks into Urban Outfitters at the Miracle Mile shops in Las Vegas to see if his book is still on the shelves.
My wife isn’t too keen on going to Vegas. She sees the Strip as a haven for sex, drugs, and everything inbetween. OK, that statement isn’t exactly accurate but she views Sin City more as a place to gamble and drink. We’re different in that way. Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world – a city rich in culture and plenty of more things to do that play the slots.
In a trip earlier this summer, I stayed at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on The Strip, and found it to be a fantabalous (yes, it’s so good I can make up a word) place to stay at. For starters, the rooms are pretty nifty. In each one, there’s – just like the PH restaurant chains themselves- movie memorabilia. In the room I stayed at – I was surrounded by swag from Warren Beatty’s “Bugsy.” Pretty fitting, and pretty damn cool. But, let’s be honest – you don’t go to Vegas to stay inside.
Whether it’s an insane amount of dining options (planet dailies and PF Changs’ were favorites), or the fact the hotel’s connected to the fresh Miracle Mile mall, there was plenty to do beyond gaming, the PH has plenty to offer. Another perk? The hotel is located in a prime spot on The Strip – easy to get to nearby attractions. Speaking of which, PH has its own form of entertainment in the form of Holly Madison. The Playboy pin-up is currently starring in the gloriously trashy “Peep Show” right at the PH theatre.
If you’re going to Vegas and want to live the celebrity lifestyle – stay here. Vegas isn’t just about gambling, and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino isn’t just another hotel on the Boulevard.
