thecheappop was in Savannah last week taking in the sights, sounds, and yes, eats in the historical Georgian city. Follow our coverage from now through the end of the month. Here’s one highlight: interviewing Savannah Sand Gnats’ Hamilton Bennett and Darrell Ceciliani in the Grayson Field dugout. Savannah Sand Gnats are a minor league baseball affiliate (A-Level) of the New York Mets in the South Atlantic League. The team was formerly known as the Cardinals in 1984 but changed their name to the Gnats in 1996 when it became an affiliate of the Dodgers. The team was affiliated with the Rangers from 1998-2002, and the Montreal Expos (later the Nationals) from 2003 to 2006. Since then, the Gnats have been Mets country. In any event watch the interviews below with sure-to-be star mustache’d closer Bennett and speedy centerfielder and lead off man Ceciliani.
A November to Remember!
This guy is hilarious.
From the people that brought you “Sweet ‘Stache” and “Night of 1000 Fake Mustaches” comes the most important thing to happen to New York City since the Naked Cowboy nutted up in Times Square. In all seriousness the catastrophic events that occurred in Haiti have directly and indirectly affected us all, That is why we’ve decided to use their unnecessary and inexplicable love for mustaches for the greater good. Join us on Saturday Night February 27th as we unload the fake ‘staches one final time (we promise) for a good cause.

“Sweet ‘Stache” pays a visit to Amsterdam.
Since “Sweet Stache” was released many of you have sent me photos of the book in exotic locations. In a new feature on the “pop” I’ll be posting the pics. No Photoshop here – these photos were really taken. Think of it as sort of those Stew Leonards bags – if you know Stews you know what I’m talking about. If you don’t, just enjoy the pics.
