Set in Virginia Beach’s downtown district, the Town Center is a mecca for shopping, dining, arts, and leisure. Highlighted by a luxurious 38-story Westin and the Sandler Center for Performing Arts (didn’t go inside but looked like a class act on the outside), the Center is aesthetically pleasing. Throw in that aforementioned fountain, and you’ll be smitten. Aside from the views though, there’s substance with the style. Along with Sonoma (we covered that) there’s a PF Chang’s restaurant, Cheesecake Factory (mentioned yesterday that special run in with Tony Hawk), and Keagan’s Irish Pub to dine at. Oh, and lest I forget, a Ruth’s Chris steakhouse which is always a good thing. Did anyone sat best restaurant ever? Aside from stuffing your faces, there’s plenty of shopping to walk off any extra calories. Ladies can shop at Ann Taylor LOFT while guys can peruse through Dick’s Sporting Goods. And, that’s to name a few. Lastly, there’s nightlife activities to do. Sonoma’s a great place for wine, Keagan’s is a great place for a pint, and as I found out, Funny Bone Comedy Club is a great place to laugh. The night I caught a show, pop favorite Mitch Fatel of The Tonight Show fame was on stage, making me laugh until my sides and feelings hurt. Kidding on the latter. In any event, good shopping, eats, and stellar beverages put together a wonderful experience.
