1) There is a God.
2) Never..under any circumstance..blame 8 little friends unless you are shooting another remake of “Ocean’s Eleven”.
3) Nicole’s back…let the battle between her and Evan truly begin…
I have to ask..what took everyone so long??? Did it really have to take a botched attempt at a Foxtrot to an 80′s classic to make people realize “Ok..Kate’s gotta go” ? Was it the fact she has zero energy, zero motivation during rehearsal which frustrated Tony,or Carrie-Ann’s interpretation of Kate comprehending like the teacher in Charlie Brown? Regardless..she’s finally gone home even if 3 weeks past her time (15/30). And to the Powers That Be over at the network..next season better be Tony’s yet..or just give him the mirrorball trophy by default…. Movie Night was the theme as each of the remaining couples interpreted a dance to a hit song from a movie and make it their own classic. Another week..another dose of nitpicking….
Cheryl/Chad (Quickstep)-After delivering a hot routine last week..the pressure is cooking for The Taskmistress to deliver another solid and strong routine..even if Chad wants to continuosly flirt and be playful. He knew this had to be en point..and somehow the dance lost its refinement and became uneven. His posture is improving, but he needed to have more control of his holds and frame. (18/30)
Maks/Erin (Jive)-This rehearsal week was just the way Maks liked it..the week according to him. But of course..her own worst enemy and Maks’ ego collided yet again. The timing of the “Pulp Fiction” tribute anticipated the beat and Erin wound up a hair ahead of Maks. It was a tough routine,a bit hectic, and yet Erin channeled her inner Uma quite nicely. (22/30)
Pam/Damian (Quickstep)-From one buxom babe to another..Pam’s tribute to Dolly Parton showed how she masters the art of characterization like noone else cam. Minus the movie schtick (complete with Dabney Coleman ‘stache and suit);it was fascinating to watch how controlled her posture was. Unfortunately,it landed them in the Bottom Two…(21/30).
Evan/Anna (Rumba)-Traveling for an ice show for the rest of this season has Anna and Evan practicing all over the continental US. The mutual concern of hip control for the skater was the focus. Evan displayed exquisite lyricism and fluid lines and hip action (what was he worried about??). Artistically, this is the man to beat. (27/30).
Nicole/Derek (Tango)-This cat has more than nine lives and came clawing her way back to the top of the leaderboard this week with one of the best Tangos I have seen. They are two players on top of their game with intense dynamics and what has to be their best dance of the season.(29/30).
Jake/Chelsie (Cha-Cha-Cha)-The highlight of the evening truly has to be the campiness and dang he has a gorgeous body (see above). Of course it made Bruno inquire why he had to put the pants back on. Minus one “little incident”, the over analytical pilot performed his best dance this season with no guts and no glory. (23/30).
Niecy/Louis (Jive)- Girlfriend and her jiggly parts showed she is the shimmy queen of Season 10, even if her bottom half was missing from her top half. She got to shake things she never knew she had and it was for all accounts a sharp and precise dance that showed her personality dead on. (18/30).
